4th Annual Conference
16th-18th May 2019, The Netherlands
As it approaches its third birthday, YES-Europe is excited to announce that its 4th Annual Conference will take place in The Hague & Delft, The Netherlands, hosted by the Energy Club of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).
Its objective, as always, is to strengthen the community of energy students, young professionals, and industry stakeholders, allowing new connections between academia, start-ups and big companies to flourish.
With 120 expected attendees from 15 countries, it offers a balanced mixture of networking sessions, informative talks by leading experts, panel discussions, simulation games, tours around the city and much more.
Since this event is the only opportunity in 2019 for all our members to connect, engage and collaborate together, we highly recommend every member to attend this conference. It is going to be a really nice experience and the best way to thoroughly understand the value of our network!

Conference Program
How can we supply clean, reliable, and affordable energy in 2030?
In 2014, the European Council agreed upon the new 2030 Framework for Climate and Energy. This includes EU-wide energy targets like: 40% cut in GHG emissions, 27% renewable energy generation, energy efficiency improvements of 27%, and the completion of the internal energy market. Five years later European governments are not yet on track to achieve these goals. Can we achieve these goals? Are they realistic at all?
As young leaders in energy and sustainability, we are drivers and initiators of the unfolding energy transition. The YES-Europe Network will formulate answers to the questions that our current politicians and energy leaders struggle with. Therefore, in the Annual Conference of 2019 we explore technologies, perspectives, and policies of Europe’s energy future. Specific attention will be awarded to renewable energy potential, energy security, and accessibility of future energy services.
